So, when Eleanor popped a lot of pills and was breathing heavily -- a cause of drug overdose -- instead of hollering for the Commander, she sits by and watches Eleanor's life slip through. She made this sacrifice in the name of the greater good, but this only shows how far she has come from the woman she once was.
She made this sacrifice, as the episode title suggests, to ensure safe passage for 52 children, but this doesn't negate the fact that the transformed June is someone her loved ones may no longer recognize. Interestingly, the reference to June's changed persona is made by none other than Commander Waterford who meets June's husband Luke in Canada.
He subsequently starts to assess himself, contemplating the fact that life is truly about compromise; for all along, he was weak, and lived by the belief of 'letting himself get hurt rather than others', which is the reason why his mother suffered so much. Rize confronts Kaneki, warning him that if he did not sacrifice one thing for the other, his dearest ones will perish, and it is going to be all his fault. The disadvantage would arise as a result of Kaneki's incompetence and weakness.
Kirk and Spock attempt to help McCoy but are stopped by the Vians' use of a force field. They can only stand by and watch as Gem attempts to absorb McCoy's wounds, though she seems afraid to take the entirety of them upon herself. The Vians then explain that this has all been a test for Gem as a representative of her people in this solar system. They have been trying to judge if Gem was willing to sacrifice her life for that of another; if she passed the test, the Vians (who have only enough time and technology to save one race from the coming supernova) would use their advanced technology to save the rest of Gem's people from the pending supernova. Gem attempts again to absorb McCoy's wounds but he pushes her away, not wanting her to die. Spock observes the force field reacts to resistant force, and theorizes that total calm would dissipate the field, allowing them the opportunity to overtake the Vians. Kirk insists to the Vians that Gem has proven her choice is to sacrifice herself, and furthermore accuses the aliens of lacking compassion. The Vians realize their error, and, in silence, seemingly agree that Gem has passed the test. They return Gem and McCoy to full health, and promise to save Gem's people. The Vians and Gem disappear.
The Bridge crew is shocked by the appearance of a planet \"out of thin air.\" A shuttle makes a sharp descent into the planet. Helmsman Gordon Malloy cries, \"Where the Hell are we\" Mercer says, \"You'll die there.\" The narrator calls the mission \"so dangerous, the crew may sacrifice one of their own.\" Mercer grips Grayson's hand. Action scenes from previous episodes play. The teaser concludes with Mercer announcing, \"All right, let's do this.\"
D-Squad returns to the landing zone, confirming that Borkus was telling the truth. D-Squad unanimously agree to save the cruiser. Gregor provides cover fire for Gascon and the droids as they make their way to the shuttle. However, the battle droids spot D-Squad and open fire on them. A stray shot hits a Rhydonium canister, knocking down BZ and Gascon inside him. The Colonel tells WAC to leave him, an order that the pit droid quickly complies with. However, Gregor comes back for him and stays behind to cover their escape. Though Gascon and R2 insists they can save him, Gregor promises he will return home. As the Separatists surround him, Gregor shoots nearby canisters, causing massive explosions. As their shuttle departs Abafar, Gascon promises that Gregor's sacrifice will not be forgotten and they will watch for his return.
FLASHBACKS TO 1919 - Marcel, still angered by recent Events, refuses to help Klaus when a gruesome discovery is made in the Cauldron. Rebekah is on alert when she uncovers the remnants of a sacrifice down by the docks and immediately realizes that it's the work of a dangerous warlock from their past. Meanwhile, when Elijah gets some information that Rebekah may be in trouble, he and Hayley set off to find her. At Rousseau's, Camille confronts Marcel, who opens up and shares some details of his past with her, but things quickly spiral out of control when an unexpected visitor shows up. Finally, a violent confrontation ensues when Klaus faces off against a powerful force with an unmatched advantage over him.
Klaus rallies his fellow vampires for support against Papa Tunde's continued threat. He wonders how someone he killed years ago could just suddenly reappear. Sophie believes someone stole the harvest power to resurrect four different witches, but it could possibly be undone... meaning Davina could come back. As long as Klaus can prevent him from killing any more nightwalkers they all should be safe. That's when Klaus remembers that Marcel's garden has a whole bunch of vampires imprisoned there who are sitting ducks. But they're too late. Papa Tunde had already sacrificed all of them. 59ce067264
